Latest company news about GE Healthcare has major cooperation based on AI

On November 11, GE Healthcare (Nasdaq: GEHC) and DeepHealth announced a strategic cooperation to promote the widespread application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the imaging field.

DeepHealth and its wholly-owned subsidiary RadNet are committed to developing SmartTechnology solutions. These solutions leverage AI technology to address key challenges in the imaging value chain, including improving the efficiency of image interpretation and reporting, facilitating collaboration among medical teams, improving clinical interpretation of images, and improving operational efficiency and productivity.
GE Healthcare said the collaboration will leverage its own imaging expertise and scale advantages. RadNet brings its deep experience in healthcare service delivery, while DeepHealth provides AI-based health informatics technology. They hope to improve the quality of patient care by optimizing end-to-end clinical and operational workflows.
DeepHealth's cloud-native operating system is designed to integrate clinical and operational tools to increase radiology workflow efficiency and improve patient outcomes.

DeepHealth's AI-based SmartMammo workflow is combined with GE Healthcare's patient-centric Senographe Pristina mammography system to provide AI-based clinical imaging support for breast cancer screening. Through this collaboration, the solution will be able to support large-scale breast cancer screening programs.
In addition, the two parties are also seeking to integrate DeepHealth's Smart Alerts workflow into the Senographe Pristina platform. This feature utilizes fast AI processing technology to send alerts to imaging checkpoints within minutes to indicate cases of potentially suspicious lesions.

Kees Wesdorp, president and CEO of RadNet Digital Health, said the collaboration has the potential to "revolutionize large-scale diagnostic and screening programs, streamline radiology workflows, and improve patient outcomes."
Roland Rott, president and CEO of GE Medical Imaging, said: "This new collaboration with DeepHealth will combine our strengths to jointly address key challenges in today's healthcare sector. We are committed to bringing more personalized, patient-centered Breast Care at the Center Comes to Reality - AI is showing tremendous potential in breast cancer screening, from early detection and risk assessment, to reducing the number of recalls and improving the productivity of breast imaging providers. Combining imaging technology with the power of AI will provide a new level of personalized breast care for patients facing this difficult diagnosis."
